A Fast Way to Fill Out a PDF Online

You don't need to print a PDF, write on it, and scan it back just to add a few details. With Type PDF, you can type directly on the page in your browser. No account required.

Most PDF editors make you pick the text tool, draw a box, and then type, and you repeat that for every answer. In Type PDF, you just click anywhere on the page and start typing. Then click the next blank and keep going.

How to fill out your PDF

  1. Open your file. Select Choose PDF, or drag the file into the upload area.
  2. Click where you want to write. Start with the first blank line or answer box. A text box appears right where you clicked.
  3. Type your information. Click the next blank for the next answer. Adjust the size or position if something doesn't fit.
  4. Download your copy. Select Download PDF and pick an export option.

Editable PDF lets you reopen the file in Type PDF and change your additions later. Flattened PDF locks your text into the page, which is usually what you want for a final copy.

Does the form need fillable fields?

No. Type PDF places your text on top of the page, so it works on any PDF, whether or not it has built-in form fields. It adds new text; it doesn't change the wording already in the document.

Before you send the file, open it once and check for missed fields, text running past a line, and pages you haven't filled in yet.
