If your assignment is a PDF with blank spaces but nowhere to type, you can add your answers on top of the page in Type PDF. The worksheet keeps its original layout, and your answers sit right where they belong.
This works well for short answers, vocabulary exercises, study questions, and any assignment that accepts typed responses.
Steps
- Open the worksheet with Choose PDF.
- Add your name, class, and anything else the header asks for.
- Click the answer space for the first question and type.
- Use a separate text box for each answer so you can move them independently.
- Work through every page, then download.
Fitting longer answers
For paragraph answers, turn on Bound in a box. Your text will wrap inside a fixed width, and you can resize the box to fill the answer space.
If an answer won't fit at a readable size, don't keep shrinking the font. Check whether your instructor allows an extra page or a separate document. For equations or drawings, another tool or format may work better.
Saving and submitting
Download an Editable PDF while you're still working so you can come back and revise. When you're done, download the version your instructor wants. Flattened PDF locks your answers into the page.
Open the final file and check your name, question numbers, answer placement, and page count. Then upload it to your class portal. Downloading it from Type PDF doesn't submit it.
