Some PDFs only need a few details before you can send them back: your name, the date, maybe an address or phone number. Type PDF lets you add them anywhere on the page, even on forms with no clickable fields.
Add each detail
Open the document with Choose PDF. Click next to "Name" and type. Then click the date line and enter the date. Keep going for your address, email, phone number, or anything else the form asks for.
Use a separate text box for each field. That way you can move or resize one answer without shifting the others.
Tips for a clean fit
- Size to the line. A long email address may need smaller text than your name. An address may fit better on two lines.
- Match the date format. If the form says
MM/DD/YYYYorDD/MM/YYYY, follow it. Also check which date it wants: today's date, a birth date, or an event date. - Check every page. If the same field appears more than once, fill in each one. Typing it once won't fill in the others.
Before you download
Reread names, email addresses, phone numbers, and dates. These are the easiest to mistype and the most annoying to fix later. Make sure nothing overlaps a label or runs into the next field.
Then select Download PDF. For signature lines, follow the recipient's instructions, since a typed name doesn't always count.
